Groundfish Fishery Management Plan:
Amendment 1

Note: This Amendment was Replaced by Amendment 4

July 30, 1984

Amendment 1 analyzed seven issues relevant to the Pacific Coast Groundfish Fishery Management Plan (FMP). Those issues were to:

  1. Provide flexibility in the regulatory regime for Pacific Ocean perch
  2. Impose marking requirements for fixed gear
  3. Require vessel identification
  4. Include additional species in the groundfish management unit
  5. Impose a trip limit on sablefish as the OY is approached
  6. Require pelagic trawl footrope
  7. separate management of Northern Jack mackerel
Amendment 1 was replaced by Amendment 4.
